We're #1 !!

A 2007 study by Environmental Data Resources ranked America's most toxic cities, as defined by the amount of man-made chemicals in the soil - and Baltimore was number one, with 88,284 contaminated sites! We win! In your face, Milwaukee!

Strangely, environmentally progressive cities like Milwaukee [#2], Portland [#3], and Minneapolis-St. Paul [#5] were also in the top 10, as well as the more predictable cities like LA, Detroit, and Cincinnati. And while second place Milwaukee had half the contaminated sites Baltimore has, they had 3,872 leaking storage tanks, compared to Baltimore's zero. So that's something.

Still, we are all going to die of painful, awful cancers. Unless we're lucky enough to get shot or hit by trains or something.
